1. How do I report a stray animal?

Do NOT bring stray animals inside your house. This can harm the animal, people in the home, and your animals. Strays can harbor diseases, rabies, and parasites.

If you have found a stray cat or dog, please contact Animal Control by completing this form. If the animal is in your possession, please call us at 218-421-7155. 

Animal Control can only retrieve cats and dogs.

All stray animals are brought to Range Regional Animal Rescue.

2. I can't take care of my pet anymore, what do I do?

Contact a local shelter to see about surrendering your animal. Animal Control cannot take your animal.

3. My animal needs immediate medical attention, what do I do?

Contact your local Veterinarian. If it's after hours, contact Blue Pearl Pet Hospital.

4. Why can't I have an outside cat?

In Hibbing, cats are not allowed to roam free outside. Cats reproduce quickly and can easily become hard to control. Like any animal, they can harbor diseases, parasites, and rabies.
