Transit Service Keeps People Moving

Arrowhead Transit offers public transit in rural areas and cities throughout several counties. Anyone can use the service to ride to work, school, college, medical appointments, shopping, day care outings, volunteer work, senior dining sites, beauty or barber shops, restaurants, and more.

All drivers have a commercial drivers license and are trained and certified in passenger assistance, defensive driving, and sensitivity training. All buses are wheelchair lift-equipped and the lift can be deployed for any reason.

Bus Schedule

Regular stops are at the following times (given in minutes past the hour):

Regular stops are made Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the 5:00 pm pickup bringing passengers to their final destination. Saturdays and Sundays are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm with the 4:00 pm pickup bringing passengers to their final destinations. 

Dial-A-Ride

  • To schedule a ride call 218-263-7115
  • The Dial-a-Ride begins operation at 6:00 a.m., with the last pick-up at 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. By calling in, this bus will pick you up anywhere in the service area.
  • Saturdays & Sundays the bus operates between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with the last scheduled pick-up at Walmart at 4:00 p.m.

Guidelines for Riding

  • Call at least one hour in advance to schedule a pick-up time and a specific drop-off site. The dispatcher will ask for:
    • Time and exact location of pickup
    • Destination address
    • Number of people traveling with you
    • The exact time of any appointments
    • Return trip information
  • Exact fare amount or pass is due at the time of boarding. Drivers cannot make change.
  • Be ready 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
  • Call in your cancellation as soon as possible if service is no longer needed.
  • Bad weather or road conditions will affect the schedule. Please be patient and know that safety is our main concern.
  • Personal Care Assistants ride for free.

Accessibility

  • All buses are handicapped accessible and lift-equipped. Please specify when calling in if there is a wheelchair passenger so we can schedule enough time for loading and unloading.
  • Drivers are licensed and certified.
  • Parents traveling with children are encouraged to provide an age-appropriate child safety car seat.
  • Passengers are advised to purchase only what they can carry.
