Mesabi Trail

The Mesabi Trail is a regional trail that passes through the heart of North Hibbing. The Mesabi Trail is a 10ft wide, paved (asphalt) bicycle trail. Ideal for biking, walking, hiking and running. Stretching from the Mississippi to the Boundary Waters, with almost 150 miles of paved trail, the Mesabi Trail is like no other in the country. Cutting through the forests of northeast Minnesota, your adventure will take you past lakes, creeks and ponds, by vast red pits of old iron ore mines now filled with emerald green water. You are sure to be greeted by native wildlife during your travels.

Four miles of beautiful hiking and mountain bike trails on the property of Maple Hill Park. Excellent place to disconnect and enjoy nature within the City of Hibbing. Great place to view the fall colors.

Carey Lake Ski & Hiking Trails
11058 Carey Lake Road, Hibbing, MN
Fifteen miles of cross country ski trails dedicated for public use. Carey Lake even offers a lighted ski trail for extended evening use during the winter seasons. Carey Lake doubles as hiking and fat-tire biking in the summer months. A 4.25 mile asphalt bike trial runs from Hibbing Community College into Carey Lake Park. The bikeway parallels Dupont Road (25th St.) for 3.5 miles.

Redhead Mountain Bike Park

Redhead Mountain Bike Park is a new attraction to the region. With portions of the trail within the City of Hibbing, Redhead currently has 25 miles of trails and is becoming a must-experience destination for visitors of Hibbing and the Iron Range. Weaving its way through sprawling mine pits, trail have been carved on a landscape cratered with deep blue lakes, expansive overlooks, towering cliff faces, rugged bedrock, and rich, iron-stained dirt. It is a would-class mountain biking experience and is looking to expand in the coming years.
